Nov 6, 2023 · King Kong Lives, known internationally as King Kong 2, is a 1986 American giant monster film directed by John Guillermin and written by Ronald Shusett and Steven Pressfield, with special effects by Carlo Rambaldi. Produced by the De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, it is a sequel to the 1976 remake of King Kong.
A giant ape King Kong, which was shot and fell off the World Trade Center tower, appears to be alive, but is in coma for 10 years and desperately needs a blood transfusion in order to have an artificial heart implanted. Suddenly, in the rainforest, another gigantic ape is found - this time a female.

Overview. After falling from the Twin Towers, Kong lies in a coma for ten years. When his heart begins to fail, scientists engineer an artificial heart, and a giant female ape is captured to serve as a source for a blood transfusion.
