Saw. Synopsis. Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead. Upon the news of Detective Kerry's murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive at the depleted police precinct to help veteran Detective Hoffman sift through Jigsaw's latest grizzly game of victims, as well as piece together the puzzle.
Instead of dressing the film with a complex, intriguing plot (like the original), the goal now is to purely shock, awe and disgust the viewer. The aim is to drive the whole “torture-porn” genre into the ground by ratcheting up the methods of torture and bloodletting to dizzying new heights.
