- The Devotees of Saint Joseph. The "Associació de Devots de Sant Josep" was a Catholic society of devotees of Saint Joseph founded in 1866 by a book seller named Josep Maria Bocabella (1815-1892).
- Francisco de Paula del Villar Project. After securing an entire block of the Eixample district in an area that was still mainly undeveloped but would become quite central in a few decades (the land in the city center was too expensive already), Bocabella needed an architect.
- How Gaudi got involved in la Sagrada Familia construction. When Villar resigned in 1883, Bocabella asked Joan Martorell, and architect he had used as an advisor, to take on the project.
- Building the Nativity Façade. The ten years spent building the crypt and the apse gave Antoni Gaudi enough time to plan what would be coming next. In 1893 started the works of the Nativity façade, that would take over three decades to be completed.
