In 1940, the Lake Geneva Yacht Club was host to the ILYA’s first Cub championship regatta. At its 1947 meeting, the ILYA changed the boat’s name from Cub to Class X. For more than 100 years, the Inland Lake Yachting Association and its Annual Championship Regatta have been central to the enjoyment of the sport for LGYC sailors.
