Details. 4 miles. 300 – 500 feet of elevation if you take the offshoots. Location: 680 Point Lobos Ave, San Francisco, CA 94121. This information is from my time hiking here in 2016, 2018 and 2019. Getting There. The trail is accessed from the parking lot at the end of Geary Avenue.
It is an East/West direction. Almost all of the North/South running buses cross Geary. No problem. Take the Geary bus West and get off at the end of the line. The Lands End walk is very beautiful. Fantastic view of Seal Rock, forest, the entrance to San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, and green, green Marin County.
