From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Redirected from Lapland, Sweden) Swedish Lapland (Swedish: Svenska Lappland) is a historical province in northern Sweden. Once covering all of Lapland, the eastern half was lost in 1809, becoming Finnish Lapland.
Sápmi (as its name is in Northern Sami languge), in English commonly known as Lapland (/ ˈ l æ p l ən d /), is the most northern part of Fennoscandia. Fennoscandia is a peninsula in northern Europe. The area of Lapland is shared between four countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia.
