Jun 15, 2019 · Laramie. Hoagland Howard "Hoagy" Carmichael (November 22, 1899 – December 27, 1981) was an American singer, songwriter, and actor. American composer and author Alec Wilder described Carmichael as the "most talented, inventive, sophisticated and jazz-oriented of all the great craftsmen" of pop songs in the first half of the 20th century.

Jun 2, 2023 · John Smith, who portrayed Slim Sherman on “Laramie”, continued his acting career after the show ended. In 1964, Hollywood legend John Wayne cast Smith in the film “Circus World”. Smith also made several guest appearances on TV shows such as “The Rounders”, “Hondo”, and “The Virginian”.

Laramie had a respectable run of four years. Carmichael and Crawford dropped out and housekeeper Spring Byington and orphan Dennis Holmes joined the Sherman ranch. Bob Fuller went on to a good career, a stint on Wagon Train after Laramie was canceled and later a long run on the Jack Webb produced Emergency.
