One takes place nearly 40 years ago and tells the incredibly dramatic story of Americans’ frantic, chaotic evacuation of South Vietnam as Communist forces closed in on Saigon.
With the airport in North Vietnamese hands, mobs swarmed the U.S. embassy, scaling the walls in an effort to get on one of the last choppers out. Over the course of 18 hours, 70 U.S.helicopters flew 630 rescue missions evacuating more than 1,300 Americans and almost 6,000 Vietnamese.
