“Leaving Las Vegas” was written by Sheryl Crow and her friends from the Tuesday Night Music Club, a group of musicians she named her album after. The idea for the song came when David Baerwald, a contributor to the album, suggested using the title of a novel written by his friend, John O’Brien.
