As for watch orders, if you're watching DNT, then it's just S1 -> S2 -> S3 (ongoing) If you're going with the OVA, it's recommended to start with the two movies: My Conquest is the Sea of Stars then Overture to a New War, and continue from episode 3 of the OVA (and if you want more, which you will, watch Gaiden afterwards)

While scouring the internet for a proper viewing order, I've basically discovered that there are two groups of LoGH viewers, those who prefer to watch it in a 'modified release' order and those who prefer to watch it in strict chronological order. Aug 18, 2013 · The 1988 Movie & OVA are one of the best hidden gems in anime that were really hard to get until they were finally licensed in 2015 for North America. To be honest, I haven't watched this series myself and I created this guide after I did lots of research for the best watching order so I can follow it myself.
