Irwin Kostal (October 1, 1911 – November 23, 1994) was an American musical arranger of films and an orchestrator of Broadway musicals.
Instead, they hired Irwin Kostal, who was an Academy Award-winning arranger, but really had no experience as a classical conductor. Irwin Kostal injected his own interpretations of some of the pieces, to the point where several of them no longer match their on-screen Stokowski-inspired counterpoints.
