Following the workshop, I joined New York City Ballet in 1974 at the age of 16. After a year and a half in the corps de ballet in NYCB I went on to do the lead role of Emilia in the motion picture The Turning Point in 1976. I then joined American Ballet Theater as a soloist in 1976 and became a principal dance in 1986.
