It was her way of giving back,” Asomugha said of the Orphans and Widows in Need program founded by his mother, Dr. Lillian Asomugha in 2005. “She said, ‘I want to go back to Nigeria, to where I’m from, and impact the people that are there’ — the youth, the orphans, and the widows.”
Dr. Lilian Asomugha uses the annual Global Women’s Conferences to advance global women’s issues and strives to inspire sisterhood worldwide, bringing together women and girls from every ethnicity to uplift, support and empower one another.
