Losing a mask in wrestling is a huge deal. And, to take it off or lose it in a match is seen as a major development in the progression of a character, or the end of a career.

He told promoters not advertise him as a ‘former WWE talent’ or ‘Lince Dorado’. He brought out a new move-set, facial expressions and gear.
