Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals traces its origins back to a modest televised fundraiser in a small studio in 1983. Co-founded by Marie Osmond, John Schneider, Mick Shannon, and Joseph G. Lake, along with a dedicated team, the initial endeavor involved 20 children’s hospitals, 20 television stations, six sponsors, and a handful of national staff.
A core fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is Dance Marathon. More than 400 campuses support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through peer-to-peer fundraising events spanning colleges, universities, and K-12 schools across the U.S.
Children’s Miracle Networks Hospitals help kids of every age and background to overcome disease, injury and illness. These 170 hospitals are on the front lines of research, education and outreach programs.
