The table below shows that from 2020 to 2050 and beyond to 2100, the bulk of the world's population growth is projected to take place in Africa. Of the additional 1.9 billion people projected between 2020 and 2050, 1.2 billion will be added in Africa, 0.7 billion in Asia and zero in the rest of the world.
However, in the list of continents, we had to place Russia in one continent or the other, so we placed it in Europe, following the United Nations classification. About 75% of the Russian population lives in the European continent. On the other hand, 75% of Russian territory is located in Asia. Which continent does Hawaii belong to? None.
Under the top "Distribution of populations" table, it shows Oceania has a 2018 population of 38.3M, with growth rate of 1.47%. But lower down, in the Region tables it shows Oceania had a 2016 poplation of 39.9M, growth rate of 1.54%. I suspect that the 2018 number is incorrect, I don't think the population has declined...
