Adam Desiato, the 17 year-old son of New Orleans judge Michael Desiato, goes to visit the site of his mother's murder. While driving, he accidentally strikes another teenager, Rocco Baxter, on a motorcycle. Adam, panic-stricken, watches as the young man dies, and then flees the scene. Adam begins trying to cover up any evidence.
