Luger Code 1951 was originally a short manga series written by Haruto Haneki and illustrated by Akira Akatsuki. The story followed the ongoing war between humanity and werewolves, focusing primarily on Testa Lielbelle, a human working towards decrypting the Luger Code, a coded language werewolves use, Alex Rossa, his human superior, and Yonaga, a female werewolf who has been captured.
On October 16, 2016 a 25 minute ONA was released by Studio Deen adapting the manga. The ONA was directed by Shinya Takahashi with music made by Ryo Kawasaki, a script written by Katsuhiko Takayama, and featuring original character designs for minor characters from Akira Akatsuki.
17-year-old linguistic genius and university professor Testa Lielbelle is introduced by his senior, Sergeant Rossa, to the Allied Cryptanalysis Department. There, he is tasked to break the enemy werewolves' code, which the werewolves are using to encrypt their radio transmissions.
