May 24, 2008 · That was the spoof film, "The Godson" with Rodey Dangerfield, Dom DeLuise, and Kevin MacDonald (of "Kids in the Hall" fame). It was a spoof of "The Godfather" (obviously), as well as other Mafia-related films. Not quite as funny, but still has some good moments. It was made in 1998.

Dad ships Guiseppe off to Mafia University, but leaders of other crime families see this as an opportunity to move in, and soon an all-out war breaks out. The Godson stars Rodney Dangerfield, Dom DeLuise, Kevin McDonald, and Lou Ferrigno.

The film spoofs Francis Ford Coppola 's Godfather series and various other mafia films, notably Martin Scorsese 's Casino (1995). It also parodies films in other genres, ranging from Forrest Gump to Il Postino and The English Patient.
