A full continuum of special services is available to Mead students. Each of the junior high schools has Discovery classes for eligible gifted students, and Mead is honored to have the District 54 magnet program based at our school for seventh- and eighth-grade students.
Apr 14, 2024 · Campanelli School is a unique blend of neighborhood and open enrollment school programs. Our school community is made up of students and families in preschool through sixth grade who participate in the general education program, the Chinese Immersion program and the District 54 Magnet program.
The magnet program is designed to meet the needs of profoundly gifted children who are in the top two percent cognitively as measured by a standardized intelligence test. While we are pleased to test applicants, the tests are challenging and time consuming.
A full continuum of special services is available to students in District 54. All children have access to early childhood programs, which are clustered geographically. Each of the elementary schools has gifted resource services, although eligible children can also attend the magnet program at Campanelli School.
