Mahayana Temple (Chinese: 大乘寺; pinyin: Dàchèng Sì; Jyutping: Da4sing4 Zi6) is a Chinese Buddhist temple located within a forest in South Cairo, New York. It is the retreat of the Eastern States Buddhist Temple of America, Inc. ("ESBT"), whose downtown branch of the Mahayana Temple (aka Mahayana City Campus) is located in New York .

Mahayana is the biggest Buddhist temple in Chinatown and its magnificent 16ft-high Buddha statue – sitting on a lotus and edged with offerings of fresh oranges, apples and flowers – is believed to be the largest in town. It's privately owned, so no monks reside here, but it's tended daily.
