- Betty Draper. Mad Men makes it very clear that women are not as respected as men in this society. Betty Draper is an excellent example of this as she is expected to be a housewife and nothing more.
- Harry Crane. Harry Crane begins the show as one of the nicer ad men at Sterling Cooper but grows sleazier as time goes on. In the early days, he is a pushover who fails to fight for what he is owed and avoids confrontation at all costs.
