  5. The Kennebunks invite you to dip your toes into Maines notoriously chilly water. Beautiful Goose Rocks Beach in Kennebunkport, uncrowded due to limited sidewalk parking, is a lovely spot for exploring Maines fascinating tidal pools.

  6. Rockport is situated right between Rockland and Camden (10 or 5 minutes drive to each town) and is home to the historic coastal Samoset Resort. Rockport is smaller and less touristy. There are also fewer activities being offered.
