Berman Unveils Legislation for Free Tuition at WVMCCD. SACRAMENTO – This past Friday, Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park) introduced AB 3158, legislation enabling West Valley-Mission Community College District (WVMCCD) to waive tuition fees for all students living in its service area.
Marc Berman (born October 31, 1980) is an American lawyer and politician who has served as a member of the California State Assembly since 2016. He is a Democrat representing the 23rd Assembly District, encompassing parts of the San Francisco Peninsula and Silicon Valley, including Campbell, Mountain View, and Saratoga.

He was the author of a bill that made California a permanent vote-by-mail state. Berman graduated from Georgetown University and received a law degree from USC.
In response to a request from local elected officials in his district, Marc introduced AB 2586 (2020) to eliminate barriers to providing 24-hour safe parking, thereby granting cities and counties another tool to urgently address the homelessness crisis in their communities.
