Lava Piranha is another one of the bosses to pull off this multiple phase fight. Lava Piranha fights you as the chapter 5, before sinking into the lava and reappearing on fire. It's a neat concept to help make him a threat and it's a shame that future piranha plant fights don't do this sort of thing. Even the final boss has multiple phases.
