In modern CRM systems, many tasks are automated and data synchronized, so that different departments such as sales, marketing, controlling and management can access aggregated data and use it operationally. What is also described as closed-loop marketingincludes marketing automation as a part of the system: Where customers are addressed, data is generated and there is ideally feedback that picks up and notes customer feedback - be it opening rates of emails, customer value or instruments for personal addressing in mailings or sales promotions. This feedback must be processed so that it is useful to the sales or marketing department. This analytical component, the processing and preparation of the data, as well as the operative component (the use of the data) is central to a control loop that can be used strategically and tactically in CRM systems. Marketing automation is part of the operative part of the CRM system and is intended to automate business processes in marketing with a f...

Marketing automation is based on various components and functions that depend on the system used. As a rule, however, it consists of the following components that systematically interlock and build on each other. There are both independent solutions and modules that are synchronized with the CRM system. 1. Data integration:Marketing automation as an operational part of CRM is dependent on a database that is counted as an analytical part. The database stores all relevant information and structures it according to predefined classes and properties in order to adapt it to the actual workflow. This includes list management, ensuring the quality of the data, and the first steps towards segmentation. Sometimes data is collected in real time and made available via data warehouse. 2. Customer and market segmentation: There are different segmentation models in marketing automation. Depending on the goals and workflows, specific customer segments can be created based on KPIs, market analyses,...

Marketing automation bundles information from various areas of the value chain and makes it available as resources that can be used operationally. Since marketing is based on a personal relationship with the customer, it is hardly possible for large companies to maintain this relationship in the long term without a great deal of effort. With marketing automation, this is implemented in a way that is scalable and sometimes promotes the relationship between customers and companies - for example, by targeting important existing customers or evaluating newly generated leads in order to set priorities in the communication measures. In particular, the cross-media connection of different touchpoints and the illustration of the sales funnel is an advantage here: Any contact points in the customer journey can be recorded and evaluated in order to take special measures. Depending on the goal of these measures, aspects such as conversion, brand awareness, or the effects of content marketing ca...

The GrowthZone Marketing Automation module provides the functionality to set up automated workflows designed specifically around varying communication goals. For example, you may want to have a work flow for new prospects, or perhaps a drip campaign for new members. A workflow can be tied to a campaign list, that will then allow you to automatically send targeted information to key individuals and groups.

Create the desired email templates to be used in your campaign. See Create and Manage Email Templates.
Create the desired lists/committees, as needed. See Working with Lists/Committees.
Click Marketing Automationin the left-hand navigation panel. A list of all current workflows will be displayed.
    Click the Add Workflowbutton.
    Configure the following:
If you need to save your workflow so you can continue to add steps to it later, go to the General tab and click the Savebutton in the upper right.
If your workflow is complete and you wish to begin sending emails to your list, go to the General tab and click the Activate Workflowbutton in the upper right.

Workflows update/execute once an hour. 1. If you need to remove a contact from a list/committee that is feeding the workflow, you can remove them from the list. The display of the number of contacts in a particular step will update with the new value the next time the workflow executes. 2. If you re-activate a workflow that has been de-activated, it will update the next time the workflow executes.

Landing Pages give you the ability to create a simple web page to engage the contacts in a Marketing Automation flow. This can be a static page or you can include a form/survey and gather responses to questions as contacts proceed through the workflow. Within a Logic Branchstep, you have the ability to select either "Landing page has been viewed" or "Landing page form has been submitted".

The Generaltab of your workflow, provides a variety of metrics for analysis. 1. Total Participants: This provides an understanding of the total number of contacts that have participated in this workflow (for all time). 2. Currently in Workflow: The total number of participants that are still in the workflow. 3. Early Optouts: A participant will be marked as opted out when: 3.1. The contact unsubscribes themselves from a list that is part of the workflow (and the contact is currently within the workflow steps). 3.2. Staff removes a contact from list that is part of the workflow (and the contact is currently within the workflow steps). 1. Total Completions: The total number of participants that have completed the full workflow. NOTE: This number will be Total Participants - Currently in Workflow - Early Optouts. In addition to the metrics displayed on the general tab, on the Workflow Stepstab, you will be able to see, at a glance, how many people are in each step of your workflow, and...
