Ethics in general is the study of standards of behavior that promote human welfare and what is often called “the good.” Business ethics is the study of those standards of business behavior that do the same thing—promote human welfare and the good.
Technoethics. Technoethics (TE) is an interdisciplinary research area that draws on theories and methods from multiple knowledge domains (such as communications, social sciences information studies, technology studies, applied ethics, and philosophy) to provide insights on ethical dimensions of technological systems and practices for advancing a technological society.
