Mary de Bohun (c. 1369/70 – 4 June 1394) was the first wife of Henry Bolingbroke, Earl of Northampton and Hereford and the mother of King Henry V. Mary was never queen, as she died before her husband came to the throne as Henry IV.

Nov 6, 2015 · She was abducted from the convent by her future father-in-law John of Gaunt, a brother of Thomas of Woodstock. She was married to his son Henry, the future Henry IV on 27 July 1380 at Arundel Castle. She was just 12 years old.

Gaunt purchased the right for Henry to marry Mary for five thousand marks (£3333), a sum which King Richard II owed him for his services overseas.
