Medical Center. A girl from an institution for the severely retarded is admitted to the hospital after suffering minor injuries in a fight. Gannon begins to suspect that the girl is not as severely retarded as is thought and can be helped, but he finds resistance from the doctor and nurse at the institution, and from the girl's own mother.
