The mission of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office is to preserve and enhance the quality of life of Mercer County residents by fostering an environment of law abidingness, safety and security. To that end, this Office is dedicated to the pursuit and attainment of justice.
Angelo J. Onofri was sworn in as Mercer County prosecutor on December 28, 2016, after being appointed by Governor Chris Christie and unanimously confirmed by the New Jersey Senate. He had been serving as acting prosecutor since March 1, 2015. As the county’s chief law enforcement officer, he leads the 200-member prosecutor’s office.
