Meredith Vieira is an American journalistand television personality. She is best known as the original moderator of the daytime talk show The View (1997–2006), an ABC talk show that ran from 1997 to 2006. Later on, Vieira co-hosted the NBC News morning news program, Today from 2006-2011.
Meredith attended the Lincoln School, a Quaker all-girls offshoot of Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island. After her graduation in 1971, Vieira joined Tufts University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English and graduated in 1975.
