REVIEW: Directed by: Martin Barnewitz. Starring: Norman Reedus, Claire Holt, Richard Riehle, Darcy Fowers. “You planted the seed, now reap your reward!”. The Messengers 2: The Scarecrow is a prequel to the 2007 film The Messengers. The viewer however doesn’t need to be familiar with the first film; this film does stand on its own.
Jul 14, 2009 · The blurb on the back cover art for this DVD claims Messengers 2: The Scarecrow is a "chilling prequel" to The Messengers, a 2007 theatrically-released ghost film starring a pre-Twilight Kristen Stewart. How closely this prequel fits in with the original is a little tough to judge, as it's been a couple years since I saw the first go-round.
