The Messeturm, or Trade Fair Tower, is a 63-storey, 257 m (843 ft) skyscraper in the Westend-Süd district of Frankfurt, Germany. It is the second tallest building in Frankfurt, the second tallest building in Germany and the third tallest building in the European Union.

The tallest structure in Frankfurt is the Europaturm, which rises 337 metres (1,106 ft). [4] However, the tower is not generally considered a high-rise building as it does not have successive floors that can be occupied. The tallest habitable building in Frankfurt is the Commerzbank Tower, which rises 259 metres (850 ft) and has 56 floors. [5]

The design of the top of the building goes back to the first draft for the roof pyramid of the Campanile high-rise (which was never realized). MesseTurm means “Exhibition Tower” in German language. MesseTurm was built in 1990 in Art Deco style. The width and length of each floor is just 41 x 41 meters (135 x 135 feet).
Until the completion of the Commerzbank Tower in the year 1997 the Trade Fair Tower (Messeturm) was the highest office building in Europe. However, it’s not just the building’s impressive height of 256.5 metres that makes it a Frankfurt landmark.
