Ari Shapiro is an American radio journalist. He currently is White House correspondent for NPR. On February 27, 2004, Shapiro and longtime boyfriend, lawyer Michael Gottlieb, were married at San Francisco City Hall. Out since high school, Shapiro has shared his life with Michael since 1998, when they were both students at Yale.
