     It is an endpoint for a web service (in this case, a RESTful web service). It is the web address from which we can retrieve the information for a particular person (whose ID is 'KOSTE-ARIN') in the ARIN database.

     Whether you think of it as retrieving a "file" or as retrieving "the result of a database query" the effect is the same: You send the GET request to that particular address (endpoint) and the server returns a big long string containing Mr. Kosters' information.

     You could search for an answer by yourself, but anyway quoting MSDN support -

     Records in a table... in a Microsoft Access database are limited to slightly under 2K, not counting Memo fields. The "Record is too large" error occurs when you enter data into such a record, not when you define the table structure.

     And you can try to use memo types as this answer suggests.

     You'll need to install the 64-bit version. Download from here.

     The generic solution is to force your program to run in 32-bit mode. Project + Properties, Compile tab, scroll down, Advanced Compile Options, Target CPU = x86.

     There are some strange things about this.

     • [Excel 8.0;HDR=YES;IMEX=2; is a connection string to connect to Excel files, not MDB databases. Since you're passing it an MDB database as a parameter, there are bound to be strange errors. Since connecting to Access is native to Access, you just need to specify the path.
     • I'd specify all connection parameters in the connection string, including uid.

     To query off of an Access database with a password, specify the password in the ISAM connection string:

     "SELECT * FROM [MS Access;PWD=password;DATABASE=" &Application.ActiveWorkbook.Path & "\Sample1.mdb].[SampleData$] a INNER JOIN [MS Access;PWD=password;DATABASE=" & Application.ActiveWorkbook.Path &"\Sample2.mdb].[SampleInfo$] b ON a.Index = b.Index WHERE a.idCode = 2"

     Of course, you need to make sure you use proper connection strings to both MDB databases: with the current code, Sample2 is protected but Sample1 is not, and Sample2 is protected by encryption (only prompts password), not user-level security (prompts password and username).
