Aug 31, 1995 · To fix this, use the following settings: Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3) Reduced color mode: 8-bit (256) color. This will mess up the way the game determines how many audio channels to use for some reason, so I patched the game to force 3 audio channels, provided in the Compatibility Mode Fix folder.

It’s mainly a clone of Terminal Velocity and Descent. The engine used is actually the same one from Terminal Velocity, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself hit by a sense of deja vu.
Terminal Velocity had got some decent reviews on its first release. So Fury 3 was going to be more of the same but a Windows 95 overhaul. Sharper graphics, higher resolution, better sound. Microsoft Fury 3 is an arcade-style space shooter. These were big news in the early 90s. TIE Fighter, Descent, Wing Commander had all been mega popular on DOS.
