COACH MCSHANE. Coach Mike McShane has a long and storied career in men’s college ice hockey. McShane began his coaching career at Exeter Academy, The New Hampton School, and Dartmouth College. McShane was hired by St. Lawrence University as its head coach in 1980.
McShane was selected as the 10th head coach of the Norwich men's ice hockey program prior to the 1995-96 season. In the 23 years since, he has posted a 497-130-38 record. He became the program's all-time winningest coach during the 2008-09 season. Under McShane's guidance, the Cadets have never posted a losing season.
