Jan 11, 2024 · Former mayor Joseph Mark Rongstad was booked into the Chippewa County Jail by local authorities on probable cause felony threats of violence and reckless disregard risk. The investigation is ongoing, but there is no known threat to the public at this time. Criminal charges are expected to be filed in the coming days.
