The Georgia Music Hall of Fame was a hall of fame to recognize music performers and music industry professionals from or connected to the state of Georgia. It began with efforts of the state's lieutenant governor Zell Miller to attract the music industry to Georgia.
Each year, a select few are chosen for induction into the Hall of Fame. The inductees represent the diversity of Georgia music, including jazz and swing, country and folk, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, classical, urban, gospel, and contemporary Christian.

The 43,000-square-foot building was home to thousands of documents and artifacts, including sound recordings, costumes, instruments, sheet music, photographs, recording equipment, and memorabilia from hundreds of the state’s musical legends.
