Hi,The dog that starred in the movie is a "Newfoundland." They get to be pretty big, more than 100 lbs when fully grown.Let me know if you need more help. Customer. I'm sorry but we have owned a Newfoundland and I don't believe that was a Newfie. There was a similarity, but my wife and I both don't believe that's what was in that movie.
