Their daughter, Tiffany Tavernier (born in 1967), is a novelist, screenwriter and assistant director. [11] [12] Tavernier was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 42nd International Film Festival of India in Goa for his outstanding achievements and work in the film industry. [13] He died on 25 March 2021 at age 79.
