The NASTAR Handicap System gives ski and snowboard racers a simplified system to gauge their progress throughout the season and allows racers of all ages and abilities a means to compare their race results to other competitors across the country regardless of when and where they race.
National Standard Race (abbreviated NASTAR) is the world's largest recreational ski and snowboard race program. It was founded in 1968 by SKI magazine and is owned and operated by Outside Inc. NASTAR has a scoring system for assigning scores to ski and snowboard racers of all ages and abilities, using a handicap system.
Apr 26, 2024 · NASTAR is a public racing program that provides recreational racers with an opportunity to compare their ability to the fastest member of the US Ski Team (USST). The NASTAR races are held at Sugar Mountain on Oma’s Meadow, Saturday and Sunday at 12:00pm. On-mountain registration starts at 11:00am and ends at 11:50am prior to the 12:00pm start.
