Jun 16, 2015 · Up for sale a very rare early LCD watch from National Semiconductor (now part of Texas Instruments). The exact year is unknown, but it is likely mid to late 1970's, and is among the first mass market LCD quartz watches produced. This watch, and others like it, is what killed the LED watches.
