The traditional territory of the Tundra Nenets language extends along a vast tundra zone from the Kanin Peninsula in the west to the Yenisei River delta and the Yenisei Bay in the east. The northern boundary is formed by the Arctic Ocean, Tundra Nenets being also spoken on several of its islands.
