Aug 7, 2023 · Neszmély is a small riverside wine town in northern Hungary, located on the banks of the Danube River 35 miles (55km) north-west of Budapest. It is part of the wine region of Ászár-Neszmély, formed in 1997 with the merger of two former regions, and named after the two towns at each end of the zone.
One thousand and four hundred hectares, barely an hour from Budapest: one of the most characteristic and least known wine regions of the country is Neszmély, offering wonderful nectars and landscapes. It is time to get acquainted with them.
