If you’ve seen the term ‘waiting week’ on your payment history, it is a relic of our existing system and does NOT impact your benefits.
***If the New York State Department of Labor directed you to file your claim again or you are filing a claim for the Shared Work program, please visit Online Services for Individuals, enter your NY.gov Username and Password and choose Sign In.In the Unemployment Insurance box on the bottom right section of the next screen, select File a Claim.
