Wiltz. A statue honoring Richard Brookins, the American St. Nicolas, was unveiled in December 2014. The town remembers 1944 when American soldiers provided a St. Nicolas party for the children of Wiltz in 1944. The town had just been liberated, though it was retaken just weeks later.
