Night Nurse is a comic-book series published by Marvel Comics in the early 1970s. Linda Carter, one of the series' three central characters, previously was the lead of an earlier Marvel series, Linda Carter, Student Nurse, published in 1961.
Their mission resulted in Wong almost being killed, the Night Nurse's clinic burning down, and the loss of nearly all of Otkid's Elixir, but it also fostered a romantic relationship between Doctor Strange and the Night Nurse.
As Night Nurse, she specializes in the unique contusions, broken bones, blunt-force traumas, and other injuries associated with the vigilante life. If you wear a costume, defend the innocent from the forces of evil, and get beat up doing so, the Night Nurse is who you’ll want to see.

- A Running Joke. Given Night Nurse's name, it's probably not that big of a surprise that there are a few running jokes about it. The way heroes react is actually the main part of the joke, as are smaller ones, depending on how frequently said hero appears.
- Contacts and References. Linda Carter may not be the easiest woman to contact, outside of her clinic. But there are a few known ways, including simply calling her.
- Chose A Side During Civil War. It seems like just about every hero on the planet (and some off-planet) had an opinion about Civil War, and thus took a side.
- Lost Her Clinic At Least Once. Unfortunately for Night Nurse, she has paid some heavy tolls in the time of her career. We've seen her lose her clinic on at least one occasion, and frankly, it seems unlikely that it will be the last.
Linda Carter takes on the moniker of Night Nurse in order to help and heal Super Heroes who are in need.
