Nonnberg Abbey (German: Stift Nonnberg) is a Benedictine monastery in Salzburg, Austria. Founded c. 712/715 by Saint Rupert of Salzburg, it is the oldest continuously existing nunnery in the German-speaking world.

Every morning at 6:45 am, on Sundays and public holidays at 7 am, as well as in the evening, the sounds of the singing nuns from the nuns' choir resound in the collegiate church of Nonnberg. Sung vespers to listen to: weekdays 4:45 pm, Saturdays 5 pm, Sundays and public holidays 4:30 pm, before public holidays 4 pm - subject to change!

Nonnberg Nunnery aka Abbey was founded between 713 and 715 and is considered to be the oldest nunnery in the World that existed with no interruptions. The official founder of the nunnery is St. Rupert, but he transferred the responsibility to his sister St. Erentrudis.
