Die Benediktinerinnenabtei Nonnberg liegt auf dem östlichen Ausläufer des Festungsberges unterhalb der Festung Hohensalzburg. Unser Kloster wurde vom hl. Rupert zw. 712-715 gegründet und besteht seither ununterbrochen. Zugleich ist der Nonnberg das älteste Frauenkloster im deutschen Sprachraum.
